This document outlines the RootSeed system within the Mortalis: Back to the Roots ecosystem. Please read this explicitly to understand the nature of these points.

Not a Cryptocurrency: RootSeed are virtual reward points, not a cryptocurrency, token, or financial security. They are exclusively for use within the Mortalis Game environment.

No Monetary Value: RootSeed has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for fiat currency (e.g., EUR, USD) on any external trading platform or exchange. It is a loyalty and progress metric designed to reward early supporters and active Survivor's Camp users.

Game Development Status: Mortalis Game products are currently in active development. The mechanics, conversion rates, and features described in this document are subject to balancing and improvements. We reserve the right to modify parameters to ensure a fair and fun experience.

Not an Investment: Acquiring RootSeed is not a financial investment. It is a way to participate in the game's pre-launch economy and secure future in-game advantages.

RootSeed (RS): The Foundation of Your Legacy

Mortalis: Back to the Roots is an MMORPG designed to give players true ownership of their in-game assets. Unlike traditional games where time spent yields no tangible value, Mortalis allows players to craft, own and trade their digital items for RootCoin (Tradeable In-game Currency).

RootSeed is the loyalty system that rewards those who has helped develop the game. It is not a currency you spend in shops (although there will be a Survivor's Marketplace inside our Survivor's Camp where you can trade RootSeed for different items with other users); it is the “experience” that determines your status as a supporter and passive reward of RootCoin.

• True Ownership: Players own the items they craft and the resources they gather.
• Dual-Asset System: RootSeed (passive reward of RootCoin) and RootCoin (Tradeable In-game Currency).
• Fair Access: RootSeed is earned through active participation, Survivor's Camp mining, and supporting the game ecosystem with Mortalis Store purchases.
• Limited Supply: RootSeed is a finite resource, ensuring that early supporters retain their prestigious status as the game grows.

Utility: What Can You Do With RootSeed?

RootSeed is designed for active participants who want to support the game's development.

1. Passive RootCoin Generation (The “Resource Engine”)

This is the most powerful feature of RootSeed. It acts as a generator for the game's currency RootCoin.

• How it works: Simply by holding RootSeed in your account, you automatically generate a stream of RootCoin (RC). You do not need to “spend” your RootSeed; its mere presence works for you.
• Continuous Supply: This is the only way to generate a passive flow of RC without active grinding (killing monsters or gathering resources).
• Real-World Value Potential: RootCoin (RC) is the currency used for all in-game marketplace transactions. In the fully integrated marketplace, players can trade items and currency, effectively converting their in-game efforts into real-world value (e.g., EUR/USD). Therefore, holding RootSeed effectively secures your share of the game's economy.

2. Community Influence & Voting
Top-tier holders of RootSeed (e.g., 100,000+ RS) are considered the “Elders” of the community. You will have a direct voice in the game's development, including:

• Voting on new features and expansions.
• Prioritizing content updates.
• Feedback on game balancing.

3. VIP Access & Exclusivity
Your RS balance acts as a key to exclusive areas and opportunities:

• Alpha/Beta Access: Holders with significant RootSeed balances (e.g., 500,000+ RS) gain priority access to early game builds before the general public.
• Special Events: Automatic entry tickets to high-stakes tournaments and exclusive in-game events.

RootSeed Supply & Economy

RootSeed is a finite resource. Unlike typical game experience points that are infinite, there is a hard cap on how much RootSeed will ever exist. Once the supply is allocated, no new RootSeed can be created. This scarcity ensures that early supporters hold a truly limited asset.

Acquisition: How to Earn RootSeed

• Financial Support: Backers earn RootSeed as a bonus for every purchase made in the Mortalis Store (web shop accessible via Survivor's Camp), whether it's digital items, support packs, or physical merchandise.
  • Dynamic Rates: The amount of RootSeed awarded is calculated based on the specific item's contribution value to the project. For example, purely digital items may yield a higher RS-to-EUR ratio compared to physical merchandise (e.g., apparel, mugs) which entails production costs.
  • Early Adopter Bonuses: We reward early believers. During initial funding phases or special campaigns, the RS acquisition rate may be significantly higher (e.g., 2x Bonus Multipliers).
  • Scarcity Principle: As funding milestones are reached and the game approaches launch, the “difficulty” of acquiring RS may increase (similar to mining difficulty), meaning future purchases may yield less RS per Euro. This protects the value held by early supporters.
• Survivor's Camp Activities: Users can earn RS from the Reserve pool by participating in the Survivor's Camp web platform (daily tasks, mini-games, and scavenging).
• Transparency: The Survivor's Camp dashboard displays the remaining supply in real-time. An anonymous Leaderboard showcases the top RS holders, adding a competitive element to the accumulation process.

The Survivor's Marketplace (Internal Economy)

Before the full game launches, RootSeed serves as a medium of exchange within the Survivor's Camp environment.

• Peer-to-Peer Trading: Supporters can use their RS to trade digital items (eg. skins, crafting materials, concept art NFTs) with other players in the Survivor's Marketplace.
• Liquidity within the Ecosystem: While RS cannot be sold for real money (Fiat), it provides immediate utility by allowing players to acquire rare items from others using the RS they have earned or purchased.
• No Fiat Cash-Out: RootSeed is strictly a closed-loop reward system. It cannot be exchanged for EUR or USD directly. Its primary long-term value lies in generating RootCoin (the future cryptocurrency) once the full game goes live.

Funding Goals & Roadmap Alignment

The distribution of RS is directly tied to the funding milestones required to build Mortalis products.

Impact: By acquiring RS, you are not just buying points; you are funding the development stages. As the game moves closer to these funding goals, the remaining supply of RS in the Supporter Pool decreases, naturally increasing the exclusivity of holding a large balance.

Initial Goal (4 Million EUR): Reaching this milestone allows full-scale production to begin.

Ultimate Goal (40 Million EUR): This ensures the completion of the full MMORPG vision with all intended features.

By acquiring RootSeed or purchasing items from the Mortalis store, you acknowledge that you are supporting a project currently in development.

1. Development Risks
Mortalis: Back to the Roots is a complex software project. While the team is dedicated to delivering the game as envisioned, unforeseen technical challenges, bugs, or resource constraints may cause delays. Features described in this document are subject to change during the development and balancing process.

2. No Monetary Value
RootSeed are virtual reward points. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, and cannot be exchanged for fiat currency (EUR, USD) by Mortalis Game.

3. “Kickstarter” Nature of Support
Purchases made in the Mortalis Store are primarily contributions to the development of the game. You are helping to bring this world to life. While we aim to reward this support generously through RS and items, the primary motivation should be the desire to see the game created.

4. Regulatory Changes
The legal landscape regarding digital goods and virtual currencies is evolving. Changes in US, EU or international laws could impact how future features (such as the crypto-based RootCoin) are implemented. We promise to adapt to regulations to protect the game's longevity, which may require altering certain mechanics.

5. Account Security
You are responsible for the security of your account and credentials. Mortalis Game is not liable for the loss of RS or items resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

Mortalis Game, Inc. (a US-based subsidiary) serves as the IP and royalty holder and production company for our products. Together, these entities are known as Mortalis Game.
